By providing a $750 million loan to the Bay Area and restoring $1.1 billion to transit operators across the state, the budget protects Californians who rely on transit. In addition, I urge you to fully restore all funding from Cap-and-Invest for public transit and affordable housing.

My community deserves dependable and frequent public transit that gets us where we need to go safely, quickly, reliably and affordably. We deserve clean air and public transit is the best solution we have, especially as California’s electric vehicle policies come under attack. Businesses and government agencies are making workers commute again. If transit service collapsed it would make traffic even worse. Please show Californians that you care about the climate, cost of living, and the economy by funding public transit.
